The University of Vermont’s stunning 18th century, city based campus is situated in Burlington, Vermont on the shores of Lake Champlain. The local landscape delivers year-round outdoor activities, a vibrant social scene and a safe, healthy environment that welcomes international students. The high academic quality of the UVM Global Gateway Programme combined with strong student support services from the ISC will ensure successful student outcomes. 


The University of Vermont comprises seven undergraduate schools, an honors college, a graduate college, and a college of medicine. The Honors College does not offer its own degrees; students in the Honors College concurrently enroll in one of the university's seven undergraduate colleges or schools.


Bachelors, masters, and doctoral programs are offered through the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Education and Social Services, the College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences, the College of Medicine, the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, the Graduate College, the School of Business Administration, and The Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources.

In 2015, Forbes "America's Top Colleges" list ranks UVM 156th overall, out of the 650 best private and public colleges and universities in America. UVM is ranked tied for 89th in U.S. News & World Report's 2016 national university rankings, and is ranked tied for 37th among public universities.


A Wall Street Journal survey placed the University of Vermont #18 in a list of the top 30 public universities ranked for their success in placing students in the nation's most prestigious medical, law, and business graduate programs.


The University of Vermont is ranked 40th on a list published by BusinessWeek.com of the top 50 U.S. colleges and universities whose bachelor's degree graduates earn the highest salaries. UVM is ranked seventh among public universities.UVM's high ranking was based on the salaries of those at the 90th percentile of mid-career alumni with 10 or more years of experience. 10% of mid-career alumni earn more than $194,000. UVM alums earn $82,700 at the median level in their mid-careers and $44,800 at the median as starting employees. The list is based on data compiled by PayScale.com.
