This weekend’s auction action
2015-05-22THE number of homes being offered for auction is continuing to rise although it is below the level at the same time last year.
According to CoreLogic RP Data there are 2322 auctions scheduled for capital cities this week.
Last week’s national auction clearance rate fell to 77.5 per cent.
Melbourne is expecting 1053 auctions this week, up on last week when there were 1012 auctions.
In Sydney there are 884 auctions this week, while Brisbane will host 137 auctions.
Adelaide has 84 auctions scheduled and Perth has 51.
Canberra has 96 homes set for auction this week, which is the highest level scheduled in the city so far this year and more than double last week’s auctions.
In Brisbane, a home at 62 Burnham Rd, Bardon is scheduled for auction at 3pm on Saturday.
The home has two bedrooms and is on a 956sq m corner block of land. It is being marketed by Place West.
The pre-war home still has character features throughout. It has timber floors, casement windows and high ceilings.
A one-bedroom apartment at 5/2a Brougham St, Richmond in Victoria will be auctioned on Saturday at 10am.
The apartment has a price guide of between $600,000 and $660,000. It is being marketed through Jellis Craig Richmond.
The apartment has designer decking and a paved entertaining area.
