UK Housing News - Investor Insight, 2022/5/6
2022-05-06According to the ONS, UK rental prices rose by 2.4% in the 12 months to March 2022, up from 2.3% from the previous period. The number of properties available to tenants has been in decline due to rising inflation costs, however, the buy-to-let market is beginning to see an increase in available properties, and landlords with the most in-demand properties may see some tenants willing to pay higher prices to secure them, offering more opportunities for both short and long term returns.
Property price increase
Property prices are expected to see a 4.5% increase over the next 10 months, and over the next five years the property market could see prices 20% higher than they are currently according to JLL, providing yet another reason to invest in property in 2022.
