People Are Moving Again. Destination: Florida

As the sting of the Great Recession fades, more families are moving, according to data from the Census Bureau.
During the recession, the percent of families who moved in a year fell from the usual 17 percent to as low as 11 percent. Now, after years of an improving economy, the number has risen to about 15 percent.
Many of the places experiencing gains are in the Sun Belt — Tampa, Florida and Las Vegas, for example. Use the map from The Pew Charitable Trusts to see which counties are gaining and losing the most.
The population trends will also affect the political process. If current trends continue, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas and Virginia are slated to increase congressional seats for 2020.
