Top UK cities for house price growth
2018-07-03Property values have climbed faster in Edinburgh and Manchester than in any other major UK city. But the gap between house prices in London and other cities is narrowing, as annual growth in the capital slowed to a nine-year low in May. Aberdeen and Cambridge were the only two cities that registered price falls over the last 12 months, according to the latest Hometrack UK Cities House Price Index. Insight director, Richard Donnell, said: "The level of house price inflation seen in large regional cities during the last peak, between 2000 and 2003, gives a good indication of how much prices may rise this time around.
